Coordinator Showcasing UNIVERSWATER at Water Projects Europe 2025

On October 28.2025, our Coordinator Pierre Lovera took the floor at the Water Projects Europe 2025 event in Copenhagen to present the project’s innovative approach to sustainable water reuse in agriculture.

Held back-to-back with Water Innovation Europe 2025, the annual conference organised by Water Europe, this year’s edition gathered over 290 participants from across the water community — including researchers, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders.

During the session, Pierre Lovera highlighted how UNIVERSWATER is developing advanced tools and field-tested solutions to enable more efficient and circular water management in the agricultural sector. With pilot sites in Ireland, Italy, and Greece, the project demonstrates that innovation, collaboration, and data-driven management can transform agricultural water use, protecting both productivity and ecosystems.

The event also featured inspiring presentations from other Horizon Europe projects, including FARMWISE Project EU, RAINS Project, and GEORGIA EU Project, all working towards a more sustainable and water-smart agri-food system.
