UNIVERSWATER Showcased at the International Fair of Thessaloniki

The University of Western Macedonia (UoWM) participated in the International Fair of Thessaloniki with its own stand. This major event brings together citizens, companies, institutions, researchers, start-ups, regional representatives, and consumers from both Greece and abroad, creating a dynamic environment for information exchange, networking, and entertainment.

The fair serves as a platform to highlight developments in education, research, innovation, technology, energy, the circular economy, and emerging start-up initiatives. Its diverse themes attract professionals from business, academia, and government.

Among the highlights at the UoWM stand was the UNIVERSWATER project, co-represented with OMEGA and Tyndall researchers. A dedicated demonstration showcased the project’s innovative nitrate sensors for monitoring water and soil quality. The display offered visitors an opportunity to learn more about the project’s goals and outcomes, sparking engagement with citizens, researchers, and policymakers alike.
