UNIVERSWATER to join the WOLLs Network Annual Event at Water Innovation Europe 2026
The UNIVERSWATER project will participate in the WOLLs Network Annual Event – “Water-Oriented Living Labs for systemic impact”, taking place on 14 October 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre in Ireland, alongside Water Innovation Europe 2026.
The annual event will bring together more than 30 recognised Water-Oriented Living Labs (WOLLs), alongside policymakers, researchers, water utilities, industry representatives and other stakeholders. Building on the growth of the Water4All WOLLs Network, the event will explore how Living Labs can accelerate the deployment of innovative water solutions and generate tangible impact across European territories.
As part of the programme, Pierre Lovera, UNIVERSWATER coordinator, will participate in the panel discussion “Water Sustainability: accelerating the transition towards sustainable water systems,” taking place from 15:15 to 15:45.
The session will explore how Water-Oriented Living Labs and innovative projects can support the transition towards more sustainable water systems by advancing circularity, ecosystem restoration, resource efficiency and sustainable water management.
Together with representatives from Living Labs and the wider water research and innovation community, UNIVERSWATER will contribute its perspective on how innovative approaches can be demonstrated in real-world environments and support the development of more sustainable water systems.
From innovation to systemic impact
The WOLLs Network Annual Event will feature strategic discussions on the contribution of Water-Oriented Living Labs to the European Water Resilience Strategy, the presentation of the latest evolution of the Water4All WOLLs Atlas, and three thematic panels focusing on Water Resilience, Water Sustainability and Water Security.
The programme will also provide opportunities for peer learning, networking and discussion on the conditions needed to replicate and scale successful solutions.
The event takes place alongside Water Innovation Europe 2026, Water Europe’s flagship conference, held in Dublin on 13–14 October 2026. This year’s edition will bring the European water community together to exchange perspectives on water resilience, innovation and the implementation of European water policy.
